Description: Identity and culture throuh interactive activities and a final presentation in which students demonstrate knowledge of their family, identity and culture. Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 students engage in short, predictable, and repetitive conversations supported through actions, puppets, songs, and gestures to build confidence and comprehension. They practise simple exchanges such as: (what's your name: “Πώς σε λένε;” – They call me/My name is: “Με λένε…” and (What do you like? “Τι σου αρέσει;” – I like:“Μου αρέσει…”. In Stage 1 (Years 1–2), students extend their oral language through short conversation chains of 2–3 exchanges using structured routines such as “Turn and Talk” and “Circle Talk.” Visual scaffolds, picture cards, and role play support participation and reduce anxiety, while repetition with variation strengthens fluency, confidence, intercultural understanding, and the development of authentic communication skills.
