This unit provides opportunities for students to explore their heritage, especially the place where their family came from.
They investigate their family city’s history, tradition and current status as well as their family history. Students have an opportunity to share their information with classmates to expand their knowledge of Japanese geography and history while they learn all of the related vocabulary together.

Purpose- To let the students learn about the city of Kobe and also vocabulary related to Kobe city
Sample task ·1) Create questions about Kobe based on the video. 2)Let the students read the questions about Kobe city. Explain the meaning of the words if the students are not familiar with them. 3) Let the students watch the video. 4) Check the answers and give extra information if necessary.
